Thundering out of one of the most turbulent epochs of history comes one of the screen's most spectacular achievements. It's 64 A.D. and Rome revels in pomp and debauchery under the mad emperor Nero. Into this corrupt court comes Marcus Vincius, a heroic military commander making his triumphant return to Rome. He soon falls instantly under the spell of the beautiful Lygia, only to learn that she is a convert to the new religion of the gentle carpenter from Nazareth. Led on by his consuming passion, Marcus begins a journey that brings him into direct conflict with Nero's might, and climaxes in the savagery of the lion pit of the Circus Maximus. This is on two videos.
