Title: WHY DO WE GO TO MASS ON SUNDAY?
Throughout the ages people have set aside one day of each week to rest from the work they do, to remember, praise, and give thanks to God. Sunday is a gathering day for Christians to celebrate who they are as the people of God, to be with fellow believers in faith and friendship and to be challenged to make a difference in the world. The Sunday Sabbath is a day to keep holy! In this video children (grades 2-6) discover that just as we need to gather regularly as a family at home to listen to one another and celebrate who we are, so must we come together as a parish family to listen to Godís Word and break bread in memory of Jesus. This video helps viewers appreciate the Sunday Eucharist as the source and summit of our faith life and to discover ways to live a Eucharist spirituality in their daily lives. Study guide includes directions for use, activities, and prayers.
