This video documents the celebration of the dedication and blessing of the statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus at Trinity Heights in June of 1999. The film begins with the pilgrim walk to the statue while singings hymns of praise. After the Liturgy of the word Bishop Damiel Di Nardo gives a homily and says "In our midst is a result of human art and creativlity. A statue, an image of the one who's heart is open to all. We should study what this statue is depicting. You will note that the hands of the Lord Jesus ware stretched out and prominence is his heart. What the artist has in effect given us is not only something about who Jesus is but who we are. Who we are depends on what we are meant or called or sent to be.... That means that we recognize that this is something more in who we are than either the results of our being an atom or molcule or corpusales....The image of the Sacred Heart is an image of what we are called to be.... But we know we are called. The call is from the heart of Jesus. Following the homily is the renewal of Baptismal vows and blessing ofd the people and the statue. The banquet follows.
