Title: ST. JOSEPH PICTURE BOOKS: SAINT THERESE OF THE CHILD JESUS
This series of books by Rev. Jude Windler, OFM, Conv. intended to help you teach the basics of the Catholic faith. Each book deals with one or more of the following themes: 1) the teachings of the church, 2) the Christian way of life, 3) our Catholic worship. Each book for primary grades is illustrated in full color and is simply written. This book tells the story of a girl who gave herself to Jesus in a life of simplicity and pain. The most important lesson that she shared with the novices was her "little way." She reminded them that most of us are not called to do great things, but all of us are called to show God's love in the everyday things we do. Doing simple things well and with love is very pleasing to God. Her feast day is October 1. In 1997 Pope John Paul II declared St. Therese to be a Doctor of the Church, saying that her childlike simplicity taught a truth as profound as any other Doctor of the Church. Illustrated. 32 pages.
