Title: CHRIST OUR PASSOVER: THE INDISPENSABLE ROLE OF RESURRECTION IN OUR SALVATION
For centuries theology has made the expiatory death of Jesus bear the weight of our redemption by itself. But F. X Durrwell has shown that Christ's death forms only a part of a unique mystery with resurrection, and that it finds its deepest meaning in that relationship. For him, God's revealed mystery can be compared to a cathedral, where every part comprises the whole and each element has its meaning only when integrated into that whole. The keystone of that wonderful edifice, then, is Christ, the Son of God raised in his death. All of Durrwell's works deal with this subject, viz., the resurrection of Jesus in the mystery of salvation.
