Title: CTR: REFERENCE HANDBOOK OF GRAMMAR & USAGE
Some students would say that they have no need for a book that answers questions about language but samples show the opposite could be true. This handy reference book could provide the answers you need. There are almost nine hundred entries, alphabetically arranged to make finding answers easy. The entries fall roughly into four groups: 1) Grammatical items. The Handbook define these items and gives examples of them. 2) Particular word and construction. The Handbook describes their standing in actual usage today, so you can decide for yourself whether or not a particular construction is appropriate. 3) Topics of universal interest, such as Divided usage, American and British usage, Propaganda, etc. 4) Entries that have to do with the mechanics of writing - for example Spelling, Capital letters, Abbreviations, etc.
