Title: CALLED: DISCOVER YOUR VOCATION - SESSION 1: WHAT IS A VOCATION? (Includes DV 62257 to DV 62261)
Description:
Disc 1 includes Session 1: What is a Vocation? It is presented by Father Scott Traynor, Rector, St. John Vianney Theological Seminary, Denver, CO. God has created us with a specific mission in mind. As the prophet Jeremiah affirms; “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord, “Plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11). In this session we will define vocation in terms of personal identity and mission. In addition, we will discuss how to discern our vocation by beginning with the desires of our hearts and offering those desires in trustful surrender to the will of God. This first 90-minute session includes Scene 1: The Author of our Desires (2 minutes); Scene 2: A Future Full of Hope (4.5 minutes; Scene 3: Vocation: To Be Called (5 minutes); and Scene 4: Trusting God with the Desires of Our Hearts (5 minutes). This vocation program includes 1 set of 5 DVDs, 1 Leader’s Guide and 1 Participant Guide. Additional copies of the Participant’s Guide may be purchased through Ignatius Press at www.ignatius.com or 1-800-360-1714. 90 minutes.
